Who I Am

Scaling DevEx and DevOps in Engineering Teams with AI powered solutions

Per aspera ad astra

Over a decade of expertise in building scalable systems and leading high-performing teams

Timothy is an Engineering Leader who builds engineering organizations, sets technical direction, and ships platforms that help engineers do their best work. He has grown teams from the ground up, made high-stakes architecture decisions, and driven execution through thoughtful planning and strong cross-functional alignment. He has managed consultants supporting 100+ engineers across enterprise clients and architected multi-cloud platforms and internal products that reduce developer friction, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery.

When problems surface, Timothy's instinct is to investigate before prescribing. He digs into the issue independently first, understanding the root cause, the constraints, and the trade-offs; then constructs an incremental solution to present to the team for deliberate, well-understood execution. This style is built on conviction over assumption, and clarity over speed. He turns broad technical vision into deliverable outcomes, balancing tough architectural trade-offs with the discipline of "what's the right decision right now." He communicates regularly with executives and stakeholders across business units, summarizing team progress, leading technical discussions, and owning incident and RCA reporting when things get hard.

Timothy is particularly focused on AI — not as a trend, but as infrastructure. At Venue.sh, he is spearheading the agentic AI initiative, transforming the developer portal into a conversational interface that understands how engineering teams work and meets them where they are.

He cares deeply about building teams that are trusted, effective, and proud of what they ship. The through line across his career is consistent: create leverage, reduce friction, and help great engineers do great work.

Leading DevOps and Software engineering initiatives for an Internal Developer Portal product

  • Built and scaled a cross-functional Software and DevOps/SRE engineering organization, establishing the systems that drive performance via structured 1:1, clear performance feedback cycles and career development frameworks that give engineers a path to grow and a reason to stay
  • Own full delivery accountability by leading Agile sessions, managing engineering timelines and setting expectations with management and business stakeholders; translating product initiatives into executable roadmaps and ensuring commitments are met quarter over quarter
  • Defining and driving the technical and architectural designs for the Venue.sh platform; Making decisive architecture calls, running design review sessions to pressure-test decisions and owning the outcome. When critical systems break, stepping in directly to help diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Serving as the team's engineering voice upward and outward; representing the team in the larger organization when it comes to incident and operations monthly meetings
  • Building a Generative AI system that integrates with the Internal Developer Portal (IDP) (Venue.sh) turning it from a static information hub into an interactive, conversational hub with context about your CI/CD practices reducing support tickets by 90% and lead time for changes from hours to 5 - 10 minutes
  • Designed and implemented multi, high availability Kubernetes cluster solutions that includes an Observability (OTEL) solution for our platform mixing different classes of server pricing, network topologies and applications to significantly reduce costs by $1000/month.
  • Engage closely with product and business teams to shape product vision and drive successful market integrations. Providing feedback as part of the Initiative, UX and research process.
